With the launch of the Soleriq S 9 a new member will be added to the CoB portfolio of Osram Opto Semiconductors. With a smaller light emitting surface (LES) of only 9.8 mm it further simplifies the design of the optics and enables more compact luminaires to be created. Soleriq S 9 will be available in three different lumen (lm) packages: 1,000, 1,500 and 2,000 lm. Besides versions with CRI 80 and CRI 90, the LEDs will also be available in Brilliant White and Brilliant Color for use in high-quality professional lighting applications.
With the new Soleriq S 9 Osram Opto Semiconductors is adding a new version to its well-known Soleriq CoB family. Like its sister CoBs, the Soleriq S 13 and S 19, the Soleriq S 9 features high efficacy of about 140 lm/W and will be available in the high color quality versions of Brilliant Color and Brilliant White.
The Soleriq S 9 completes the CoB portfolio in the form of a version with a small light emitting surface (LES) of 9.8 mm in diameter to the existing Soleriq S 13 and S 19 LEDs. While Soleriq S 19 delivers high light output in the 6,500 lm range from an LES of 19 mm, Soleriq S 13 covers the mid-range of up to 3,250 lm with an LES of 13.5 mm. The three versions of the Soleriq S 9 cover a light output range between 900 lm and 1,850 lm under standard conditions. Their excellent overdriving capabilities produce a light output factor of up to 1.9 when driven at maximum forward current.
With the Soleriq S 9, S 13 and S 19 Osram Opto Semiconductors now offers three different output classes with three different LESs. The Soleriq S range provides customers with a broad product selection covering a wide range of applications from high lumen and high efficacy floodlights to very narrow beam and professional high-quality spotlights. The Soleriq S range can therefore be used for almost any application.
